How to use:

  1. Click the download button above (.exe recommended)
  2. Save TurtleLogRotator.exe to your Desktop
  3. Before each raid, double-click the file on your Desktop
  4. First time: Select your WoWCombatLog.txt file
  5. After that: It works automatically! (WoW can stay open!)

WoW Must Be Closed

Close WoW before rotating logs. This tool will back up your log as a download, then you delete the original.

How to use:

  1. Close WoW completely
  2. Click "Select Log File" and pick TurtleWoW/Logs/WoWCombatLog.txt
  3. Click "Download Backup & Rotate" -- this saves a timestamped copy
  4. Delete WoWCombatLog.txt from your Logs folder
  5. WoW will create a fresh empty log next time you type /combatlog
Tip: For one-click rotation without manual deletion, use Chrome/Edge or download the .exe tool above.

Manual Log Rotation

If none of the automatic tools work:

  1. Close WoW completely
  2. Go to your TurtleWoW/Logs folder
  3. Delete or rename your old WoWCombatLog.txt
  4. Start WoW and type /combatlog to start a fresh log
  5. After raid: Type /combatlog again to stop
  6. Your log file will be ~10-20MB instead of 1GB

Enable Combat Logging

Type /combatlog in-game to start recording. Type it again to stop.
