Mandatory Addons & Mods

Required for all raiders. Close WoW before installing. Find your TurtleWoW folder (usually C:\TurtleWoW).

Windows Security Warning
When downloading the installer, your browser may warn you. Click "Keep" or "Download anyway". When running the .exe, Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC". Click "More info" then "Run anyway". This is normal for unsigned software and is safe.

Easy Install: Download All Addons

One zip with everything pre-organized. Extract to your TurtleWoW folder and you're done.

Hydra Guild Addons Installer (.zip)
Installer (.exe): Download and run -- it auto-detects your TurtleWoW folder and installs everything. Has a "Check for Updates" button to keep addons current.
Manual (.zip): Download the zip, extract it, then copy each folder to the right place:AddOns/ folder contents go into your TurtleWoW/Interface/AddOns/,Data/ contents into TurtleWoW/Data/, and SuperWoWhook.dll into your TurtleWoW/ root folder.

  1. Download patch-O.mpq from the GitHub releases page
  2. The file is named patch-O.mpq -- keep this name as-is
  3. Place patch-O.mpq into TurtleWoW/Data/
  4. WoW loads patches lettered A-Z; letter O is the correct name
  5. The zero ensures correct alphabetical MPQ load order so HD patches can override its DBC files

Latest: Bid open noise reduction: the first Bids open line stays as a Raid Warning so the raid sees it loudly, but the MS/FLEX/OS/TM legend (message 2) and the Priority hint (message 3) now go to Raid Chat instead of Raid Warning. The popup-takeover from 3 consecutive Raid Warnings every time bidding opens was excessive; raiders still get the loud announcement of the item but the explanatory text is just chat now.

  3. Rename the folder to just SuperWowCombatLogger (remove the -master part)
  4. Copy the folder into TurtleWoW\Interface\AddOns\
  5. You should see: AddOns\SuperWowCombatLogger\SuperWowCombatLogger.toc
  6. Requires SuperWoW to be installed first

Troubleshooting

No Git? On each GitHub page, click "Code" then "Download ZIP". Extract and rename the folder (remove -main suffix).
Can't find TurtleWoW? Common paths: C:\TurtleWoW, C:\Games\TurtleWoW. Look for WoW.exe and the Data/ folder.
Addons not showing in-game? Check that the .toc file is directly inside the addon folder (e.g., AddOns/BigWigs/BigWigs.toc, NOT AddOns/BigWigs-main/BigWigs/BigWigs.toc). Enable addons on the character select screen.
